Thats my boy!

This month Taylor was one of the five kids in his class who got an award for doing something outstanding in the classroom. Miss Miller awarded Taylor for going out of his way to encourage and help everyone of the kids in his class. She said he has made it a point to do this with each classmate. On the award she put~ "Taylor is so caring and shows concern for everyone. Taylor is a good friend!" Way to go Taylor!!! Thats my boy!

No tricks~Lots of Treats!

We loaded up on the candy this year. Between the trunk or treat and the grandparents spoiling them rotten, these kids have enough candy to last a long while. Unless of course Tom and I do what good parents should do and that is help them eat it. We hate to let good candy go to waste.

Six Random Things

I was tagged by my cousin Amy to write six random things about myself that you may or may not know about me. So here you have it:

1. I love to live in my pajamas. I wear them as long as I can in the morning and put them on as soon as possible at night. I think this is an inherited trait from the Allan side of the family.

2. My favorite time of day is late evening. The kids are in bed, the house is quiet, and I am free to do whatever I want. This is when I catch up on things that are important to me~its all about me!

3. My favorite combinations are joy and laughter, peace and quiet, dinner and a movie, chocolate and caramel, Pepsi and crushed ice, breadsticks and alfredo sauce at Olive Garden.

4. If I ever won a cruise, I would give it away. I get motion sick just sitting in the front seat of the car at times. I can only imagine being stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean sicker than a dog. And no, I dont think the patch or dramamine would help me nor would I even want to try it!

5. Exercise, cleaning house, gardening and laughing are the most effective de-stressers for me. And heaven knows I have needed to de-stress lately. Life has been throwing some curve balls.

6. In my earlier years, I loved to dance. And whenever I watch dancing with the stars, I wish I was famous just so I could be on that show. It looks like hard work and a lot of fun. I would want to be paired with Tony.

Apple Dipping

The more we eat together, together, together
the more we eat together~the happier we are!
It was messy but oooooh so good!
These little babies were delicious! Josie suggested we make caramel apples, and being the kind mother that I am, we did. We crushed up skor candy bars and set the caramel apples on top of the crushed skor to dry. Yummy!

My Busy Bee

You may think a 2 year old has it easy. Actually~
Brynlee has a full agenda every day!

She starts the day with a pudding masterpiece!

She makes sure things are still fresh in the pantry.

She is always touching up her makeup.

She has several calls to make in a day!

Brynlee is always on the go! And she is one cool kid!

Brynlee's 2nd Birthday!

I can hardly believe my baby is already a toddler! The birthday decor was the My Little Pony theme since Bryn loves horses. She got a my little pony baby that she feeds with a bottle and pushes around in a buggy. SO cute! We celebrated with family at my brothers house. He and Bryn share the same birthday. Mike turned the big 30! Oh how the years fly by!

Here We GO!

So this is blogging. I have contemplated doing one of these for months now. I let my inadequate computer skills stop me for awhile. But I figure the only way to learn is to do. So here we go!

Life as we know it is pretty good at the moment. Brynlyee is growing quickly. On August 17, she turned 2 years old. She is very busy! And she is a climber! But she is cute and so she gets away with alot! Taylor started the first grade this year. I was surprisingly a little sad to send him on the bus to his first whole day of school. It was bittersweet that day, I had anticipated it for 6 years. I thought I would be drinking champagne and dancing around. But I didnt, at least not until the following day and each one thereafter. He is doing well. He is as smart as a whip. Josie is now in the 6th grade. I can hardly believe it. She loves her teacher and all of her girly friends. She is extremely smart and is always the teacher's favorite. Im sure this year will be no different. She loves spending time with her friends and is quite a popular little woman. Matthew moved to Maryland this summer. He is now a freshman. He is playing fresh/soph football at his school. He is an excellent player. He has more than brawn though. Matthew scored in the 98% range in the nation on the SAT test. WOW! Now thats one smart kid!
